I currently work in the Wellcome Centre for Cell-Matrix Research at the University of Manchester. My work involves using biology and statistics to understand how and why we age, and what can be done about the diseases that come with it.

During my PhD at the University of Manchester worked on several projects using proteomics and molecular biology to characterise the fundamental mechanisms of ageing and mechanotransduction (how cells sense and respond to changes in the mechanical properties of their resident tissues) and the intersection between them to understand how ageing and senescence affect mechanically loaded tissues (E.g. skin, muscle, bone, cartilage, etc) and the implications this has for regenerative therapies.
